Sprig Launches AI-Powered Heatmaps Product

Last month, I announced the upcoming launch of Sprig Heatmaps, our newest AI-powered product that enables you to capture and analyze product behavior at scale. Heatmaps is one of the most exciting products on our 2024 roadmap because it directly solves the challenge that so many product teams face: how to efficiently understand user engagement trends across your product experience so you can boost adoption, retention, and satisfaction.

After a successful beta phase with Sprig customers like GoFormz, NTUC Fairprice, and CodeSignal, the feedback has been clear. Sprig Heatmaps empowers our customers to make AI-powered product optimizations with an inside look into their users’ behavior. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Sprig Heatmaps is now available to all of our customers, including those on our Free plan!

What Makes Sprig Heatmaps A Game-Changer

With Sprig Heatmaps, you can capture a visual representation of your users’ in-product clicks, scrolls, and movements, allowing you to see exactly how users interact with your product. With Heatmaps, you can also filter down insights to specific user behavior based on the user actions and attributes you’re most interested in. Plus, Heatmaps is built with Sprig’s industry-leading AI Analysis, so you can automatically uncover product trends that are crucial for making informed decisions and driving impactful improvements.

The Sprig team has been testing out our own product for several months, and we’ve already seen Heatmaps’ powerful impact across our product development process. Here are some of the ways that we’ve leveraged Sprig Heatmaps to get a better understanding of how users interact with our product so that we can make product-informed optimizations:

  1. Product Engagement: We use Heatmaps to track how users interact with specific features within the Sprig product to ensure that it meets their wants and needs. For example, we leverage Heatmaps for the Sprig Template Gallery to see which use cases and templates our users find most interesting and which parts they skip over. With Heatmap filters, we can drill down even further to focus on behavior from the specific user cohorts that we’re most interested in. These AI insights help us understand how we can tweak the layout of the Template Gallery to be more user-friendly, plus what type of templates to add in the future to keep our users more engaged.
  2. Product Sign-Up Flow: By using Heatmaps to analyze where users click, scroll, and abandon across our sign-up page, we spot any issues that might be stopping them from completing it. If Sprig AI shows us that users consistently stop scrolling and drop off at a particular field, it might mean that the field is confusing or asking for too much information. We can get an even closer look at this behavior by reviewing Replay clips of individual users’ experience as they navigate through sign-up. With this insight, our team can streamline our sign-up experience, cut out unnecessary fields, and make the whole process easier for users, ultimately leading to a higher conversion rate.
  3. Product Homepage: By capturing Heatmaps of our product homepage, our team sees which parts of the page grab the most attention from our users. This helps us determine what content and call-to-action (CTA) buttons are working well and where we might need to make changes. For example, if Sprig AI determines that a certain section gets a lot of more clicks, we can add more related content across the homepage to boost overall engagement.
