Sprig customers have access to Sprig in-product Surveys and Replays, which enable you to target specific users in your product and capture their real-time experiences at scale. By learning from users in-product, your team can capture a clear and reliable signal about what’s working, what’s not, and why. To power Sprig’s advanced targeting system, you’ll use the Users, Events, and Attributes pages to manage your user and product data.
In “Users”, you can view and dig into the specific users that you’ve shared with Sprig. If you want to capture the experiences of specific users regularly without rebuilding your targeting each time you run a Survey or Replay, you can organize them into specific cohorts using the Groups feature. In “Events”, you’ll find actions that your users take in your product which can be used to target your Survey or Replay. Common Events include when a user signs up for an account or drops out of an onboarding flow. It only takes a few lines of code to add your own events from your existing product data. You can also set up no-code events that are sent when your users visit a certain page or interact with a specific element in your product like a button or CSS label. In “Attributes”, you’ll find the user characteristics that can be used to filter out who's eligible for your Survey or Replay. Common Attributes include a user’s plan type or their country. Attributes can easily be imported into Sprig with a simple CSV file or script from your product data.
All together, you can use Users, Events, and Attributes to create a precise target audience for your in-product Survey or Replay. Let’s look at an example of these features in action by creating a Survey. Once you’ve finalized your survey Questions, you’ll move onto the survey Audience tab. First, you’ll decide whether to deliver the survey via your website or your mobile app. Next, you can select the user Events that will trigger the in-product study, plus customize how many seconds after the trigger you want the survey to display. You can also add in any Events, Attributes, or Groups to specify exactly which users should see the study.
Once you launch your in-product Survey, you can expect insights within hours. When you capture insights from the right users at the right time in their experience, you’ll capture richer and more relevant product learnings. And there you have it! Leverage the the Users, Events, and Attributes pages to launch your own in-product Survey or Replay and start capturing actionable product experience insights.
