Sprig Replays is your backstage pass to understanding your product experience, allowing you to capture short clips of specific moments in your users’ product sessions. You can even add a Replay onto an in-product Survey to capture your users’ sessions and sentiment together.
First, let’s walk through how to launch a standalone Replay.
Start by creating a new study. At the top of the page, click New Replay. Then, name your Replay and select the delivery platform where you’d like to capture your product experience, either Website / Web App or Mobile App.
Now it’s time to set the targeting for our Replay to determine which specific user moments we want to capture. First, decide which user event should trigger the Replay clip. Then, determine how long the user journey clip should be and if you want to capture it before or after your trigger event.
You can also add in additional filters like user attributes that will narrow down which users you’ll specifically capture clips from. To set limits on the number of Replay clips you capture, you can edit the Clip Settings and Recontact Options.
Now you’re ready to launch your Replay! To view your Replay results, find your Replay on the Studies page. Then, watch any Replay clip and see your user’s interactions like their clicks and pages visits. See an interesting clip? Easily share the exact moment with your team via a timestamped link.
Now let’s switch gears and walk through adding a Replay onto an in-product Survey.
Start by creating a survey by either clicking New Survey to start from scratch or easily get started with a survey template from our library. Once you finalize your survey questions, head over to the Audience tab and select the delivery platform where you’d like to capture your users’ sentiment and session, either Website / Web App or Mobile App.
Then, set your targeting and choose the user events that will trigger the survey/replay, as well as the user attributes that will determine exactly who you will hear from.
Then, just hit the Add Replay toggle button to tie a Replay onto your survey. You can also specify how many minutes to record before or after your survey is triggered. After you set your Response options and Recontact Settings, you’re ready to launch your Survey+Replay!
To review your survey and replay results, find it on your Studies page. You can watch Replay clips based on how users’ response to specific survey questions and review their Replay clip, product interactions, and survey feedback side-by-side.
And you’re done! Now you’re ready to launch a Sprig Replay to help you spot UX friction points, get a firsthand look at conversion in your core flows, and much more.
