Scarf This Down

What ultimately drives human beings to accessorize, I haven't yet discovered (even during my philosophical wanderings as a Sprig.com intern). Pure love compelled me at 13 to don the bright blue/purple/green fuzzy one that my mother's friend knitted and made me look like a caterpillar. Now I masquerade as a temporary Manhattanite in the winter uniform of a black peacoat, skinny jeans, high-heeled boots—and soon (perhaps after I get an actual paying job), Kara Taub's wonderfully bright and winter-chasing Pink Truffle scarf.
