Compact Fluorescent Dimmable Lightbulbs

Why It's Good:

If your lamp allows it, dimmable lightbulbs personalize your lighting to just the way you like it, especially important for bedroom mood lighting.

Why It's Green:

Using CFLs is globally recognized as one of the easiest ways to slash wasteful energy use. A single CFL bulb will save you some $35 in energy costs over its lifespan, not to mention the cost of the conventional bulbs (eight) you'd use in its place. A 13-watt CFL bulb puts out the same light as a 60-watt incandescent, but lasts eight times longer. A 26-watter equals a 100-watt incandescent.
